Sad Lisa has the blues, just like we all get. She seeks out John Coltrane or Miles Davis in the midnight hour to sink further into the depths of her melancholy.
There really is no other remedy like full immersion, lingering in the temporary confines of the blues. It can feel like Hotel California, where you can "check out anytime you like, but you can but never leave".
But just like all of us, Sad Lisa eventually dusts herself off and goes in search of less blue pastures.
